Just a quick question, isn’t it unconstitutional to make domestic violence a firearms forfeiture if the charge was before the law was passed to make it illegal to own them. I think this is an ex post fact o situation. I think domestic violence is a horrible thing and I am not guilty of it, but I just don’t think they can make it to were it goes back on people from years ago what happened to we can rehabilitate that person I guess they don’t really believe that do they.

I know this is a really late response, but I have to disagree with one thing you have put forward here.

“Warner said some groups, including the NRA were threatening…” You have translated that into “gun owners.”

That is the equivalent of someone saying “National Right to Life is a group of nutcases” and you translating that into “pro-life people.”

That simply is bad logic.

It’s safe to say that all NRA members are gun-rights advocates. It’s NOT safe to say that all gun-rights advocates are NRA members.

Any monetary charge or fee placed on government authorization to exercise one’s Second Amendment rights–if that charge or fee exceeds the actual cost of the service provided by the government is patently unconstitutional.

It is functionally no different from poll taxes imposed in the southern United States until perhpas the late 1940s or early 1950s as a condition of casting abllots in elections. The Supreme Court found that these charges were a scarcely disguised attempt to prevent voting by persons in economically deprievd circumstances. In those days, in that place they were used to prevent voting by Negroes. I lived there; I saw it.

This conformation seems to be a joke, that sotomayor still gets superime court judgeship, when she will not protect 2nd amend. This is a tranny government that puts them in office and takes the rights of citizens away as they please. The government wants our 2nd amend at any cost, even to restricting guns and ammo to make crimmials out of citizens who buy ammo and related items. Can’t sell or give away ammo and guns as states in California law, then don’t sell any firearm items such as ammo,reloading supplies to fed government enforcement that would use these on us. Gun owners don’t sell to government, if they restict us, than do the same to them sell nothing to them If we give, they take away our freedom. America don’t need COWARDs,DISGRACEFUL, dishonarable government and COWARDS citizens that don’t defend the constition of America. If we fall than our country with it citizens fall to tyranny and dictatorship and to UN control. You are americans, than act like americans fight for your country soverighty. Remember government want it they take it. Rember NAZI Hitler what he did to the freedoms to his own country! Obama and his elect is doing the same thing to america.

Most liberal Marin County Ca has repeatedly thumbed their nose at the US Constitution, then imposed their illegal actions onto a Nevada citizen. What’s next?

Lying California attorney, Steven T. Schoonover had the Nevada citizen served at 7:30 Thursday evening in Nevada for a 9 am the following Monday court in California and the California incompetent judge allowed that 1 day notice although illegal as have to be served more than 10 days before a hearing and furthermore it was to a Nevada citizen!

I’ve been posting about this subject. I don’t call it striking early though. I call it payback politics. Gunny Bob has been talking this subject to death on 850 KOA out of Denver too. This, combined with sources that are behind the scenes, at least here in the west leads most of us to believe that a renewed “AWB” is only the camels nose.

Look for a much broader set of laws that will eventually take away your right to effectively defend yourself, your family, and your nation.

Just a comment, caution all your guest speakers, commentators etc, also yourself, to not use the word “weapon” always use the word firearm. It decreases the fear factor. Just a thought.

No. The data Dave used (which is what Sebastian based his post off of) was wrong. There’s still inconsistencies in what various people check with the FEC. There’s no indication at this point that his donations were illegal. Simply scummy.
